This educational game combines puppetry, craftwork and storytelling to teach kids phonic sounds. Sounds like fun? It is, and so much more!
- First, get creative! Start by cutting out and pasting the puppet monsters with your child.
- Each of the monsters is on a quest for words that begin with specific phonic sounds, which is explained in the accompanying storybooks. Act out the stories for your little one (don’t forget, you’re the puppeteer) and ask him to find phonic sounds that match the ones in the books.
- A set of picture cards has objects whose names begin with the phonic sounds mentioned in the storybooks. Your child has to look at the set of cards, find the matching objects and give them to the puppet monster.
- Learning these 18 vowels and consonants will give your child a strong foundation in phonic sounds and lead to the formation of simple 3-letter words like ‘bat’, ‘hug’ and ‘pot’ in the future.
